Ruth was freezing in Churchill (minus 30 degrees). But she come back with great pictures from the polarbears.

Great Pic's! I have seen more and each is unique.
for me it was still too cold. So I flew to the south. Our program can probably not be much different. My goal was the Dominican Republic. The offer from Air Canada was just too cheap. I landed on the peninsula of Samana.I would recommend this area if someone wants to come here. There is still a magnificent palm forest and relatively unspoilt villages.
I enjoyed to lie on the beach and do nothing.

Wer moechte hier nicht liegen! who wants to join me?
Of course I was bored after one day and so I was going to the village of Las Galeras. It's a rather sleepy village (at least for the season), but it just has flair. Already at the beginning of the village you hear Dominican music. Lovely!
Mein Weg zum Dorf My way to the village
The Dominicans are really friendly. They ask you sometimes, if you like to have a look at their buisness, but only after a clear "no" they don't bother you anymore.
Great ! I am used to Asian standards and there is a unique normal "no" not enough. But if you believe various ladies of travel agencies, then all the Dominican are criminals. They are virtually around every corner (or palm) and wait for you. That was a Dominican tour guide who said it to me.It's unbelievable how they trying to keep the tourist in the hotel or to sell tours.
Luckily, I survived the 10 minute walk to the village. I was now nearly every day at the village, spent my time in the bar and disco. I had interest for such nice games like to fish a bottle or bring the animateurs very fast a bra.Wuergg!! Especially popular was the chicken dance.
I've also met some nice German who raised a company here. They have a cafe and a tour company. I've also done a great trip with them. Diana, our tour guide took us to "El Limon", while we hiked through great mountains covered with palm trees. We have seen Cacaoplants, several Banana trees, coffee beans and even herbal drugs.I even tried a coffee and it was super delicious. Normally I don't drink coffee.

Next we went to Las Terrenas. This place is bigger and has more hotels. Nevertheless, I found it great here. The colorful houses, life here and loaded pick ups with food, clothing or shoes on the roadside.

Unfortunately the time was running and I had to go back to Montreal.Dominican Republic is a beautiful country and if I come again, then with my backpack. The Dominican Republic has to offer much more scenic than the all-inclusive hotels.

Sonnenuntergangsstimmung
But first back to Montreal. Where I was greeted with a pleasant 14 degrees and still autumn. Before it getting really cold we're flying in a few days into Argentina where is spring time.
